    Ralph S. Henry, MD

    Dr. Ralph Henry received his medical degree from Indiana University School of Medicine. He then completed an Internal Medicine Residency and subsequent Nephrology Fellowship at the Medical University of South Carolina. He and his wife live in Anderson and have 4 grown children.

  • Muhammad Kouser Shakeel, MD, FASN
    Muhammad Kouser Shakeel, MD, FASN

    Dr. Muhammad Shakeel graduated from Dow Medical College Karachi, Pakistan. He completed his Internship at Long Island Jewish Hospital and his residency from St. John Hospital, New York. He completed his General Nephrology Fellowship from Medical College of Georgia. He completed his transplant Nephrology Fellowship from University of Alabama, Birmingham. Dr. Shakeel is board certified in Internal Medicine and Nephrology. He is an assistant professor at the Medical University of South Carolina AnMed campus. He is involved in teaching medical students and residents and conducting pharmaceutical sponsored clinical research. His hobbies include medical volunteering and traveling. He lives in Greenville, SC.

    Anthony B. Joseph, MD

    Dr. Anthony Joseph graduated from MUSC, Charleston SC in 2002. In 2005 he also completed his residency at MUSC. He completed his Nephrology fellowship in 2008 at MUSC. He is board certified in Internal Medicine and Nephrology.

    Afiur Rahman, MD

    Originally from Toronto, Canada, Dr. Rahman joined NIMA in September 2022. He has many interests and hobbies, but currently is enjoying discovering The Upstate--- including hiking in the beautiful mountains, shopping locally, and going to the Farmer's Markets every weekend. Dr. Rahman completed his Fellowship in Nephrology and Hypertension at the Mayo Clinic in Florida. His areas of professional interest include learning how diet and exercise can treat Chronic Kidney Disease. He is also interested in Medical Innovations through Artificial Intelligence.

    Zia U. Din, MD

    Dr. Zia Din graduated from Khyber Medical College, Peshawar, Pakistan in 1983. He completed his residency at Bridgeport Hospital in New Haven Connecticut. He did Nephrology Fellowship UCLA Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. Dr. Din is board certified Internal Medicine and Nephrology. He and his wife reside in Anderson and they have three children.

    Dr. Din retired in May of 2022 after working with us for 24 years.

    In May of 2018 Kelly Herring graduated from Clemson University with her Masters of Science with a major in Family Nurse Practitioner. She resides in Anderson, SC with her husband and two children.
